When does my ad go live?
We activate every ad by hand within 1 business day of your payment. If the placement is fully booked by then, we email you the next free date, and refund you in full if you'd rather not wait.
How long does it run?
30 days from the day it goes live. It's a one-time payment, not a subscription: nothing renews, and you can book another month whenever you like.
Can I get a refund?
Ads: a full refund any time before your ad goes live, none once it is running. Sponsored reviews: a full refund if we don't deliver within 10 business days. Featured: a full refund if we take the listing down (Terms, section 5.3), none otherwise.
What link attributes do you use?
Every ad link, and every link to you in a sponsored review, carries rel="sponsored". Ads are marked "Ad" and reviews "Sponsored", so readers know what was paid for. A listing with a verified badge, or a Featured one, links to your site with a followed link; listings without either use rel="nofollow" (Terms, section 5.5). We add ref=alterbase to your link, so the visits show up in your own analytics.
Can I change my ad while it runs?
Yes. Email vlad@alterbase.co with the new name, tagline, logo or link, and we'll swap it in, usually within 1 business day.
How do I pay?
Through Stripe Checkout, in US dollars. Each ad payment covers one month, so there is no subscription to cancel. Featured is $5 once per listing, paid on its upgrade page, and permanent: nothing renews.
